You cannot lift a thousand pounds all at once. Yet you can lift one pound a thousand times. In the repetition of your thoughts and actions, there is great power. ~Ralph Marston

Today I am grateful...
- that today feels like winter but we don't have the nasty weather
- that we filled all positions at the Lambda board meeting yesterday
- for laughter and fellowship afterwards
- that I finished the fourth in a series, The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, yesterday. See post below.
- that today I will strive to watch my pride and not make demands
- that you can listen to Donna Summer's Macarthur Park Suite from my side bar
I will say thank you to God for everything, even the seeming trials and worries. I will strive to be grateful and humble. My whole attitude toward the Higher Power will be one of gratitude. I will be glad for the things I have received. I will pass on what God reveals to me. I believe that more truths will flow in, as I go along in the new way of life. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Good thoughts for a Monday morning--or ANY morning, for that matter.
I'm glad you joined us at Romano's. Thanks for stuff.
Seems like this post is much earlier in the morning than usual.
Please don't upset my reading routine!
Happy Monday! I love your Ralph Marston quote.
I too love the Marston quote, it's a reminder that I still have a long way to go with regards to discipline & daily practice
Reminds me of Dad....Donna Summer. That and dancing in flip-flops.
The Marston quote is so true. Have a great Monday.
Please tell Ralphie that he gets an A+ today.
I love Donna Summer.
Donna Summer- MacArthur Park Suite:
Those are some tasty Gay Vittles right there! Glorious.
Looked at Zeus at Olympia while listening... you couldn't possibly be playing that in the studio while painting...if so, another layer of complexity to it, I must say. :)
I LOVED the quote too.
I often listen to high energy dance music while I am painting. It's sort of the opposite of what comes out in each painting, which is much more calm and serene.
i like the twenty-four hours a day quote, myself.
