Back

Whew! What an exhausting trip! We met the captain in charge of remodeling the yacht, met with the upholsters and the carpet man. Unfortunately we didn't schedule them both Thursday afternoon, because the total time we spent with them totaled about an hour. But we had scheduled the carpet man today and there are only two flights on Southwest out of W Palm Beach, one at 6:30 AM and the one we had today at 5 PM. So we were finished today at 10 and had to kill time until our flight. Ugh. Wear me out party of two!

I never sleep well in hotel beds. And I had a nice one at the Doubletree in Palm Beach Gardens. I slept fitfully and woke a million times. So today I was a bit rough around the edges.
We drove endlessly around Palm Beach. It really is one of the most charming cities I have ever been in. I was there once before on business, but I just don't remember it being so nice. Huge, beautiful homes behind two story square cut boxed hedges. Grand Spanish/Palladian/Florida architecture.

We went down Worth Ave. It has as fine of stores as Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, but far more charming and not that dull, soulless attitude of LA. And off behind the stores are little grotto like places with more stores and apartments on top. See some HERE. We had a scrumptious lunch at Cucina. Palm Beach Cobb Salad--mixed greens, grilled GIANT shrimp, asparagus, green and red grapes, avocado and a big wad of bleu cheese in a creamy balsamic vinegar dressing. Lawsy, it was yummy!

Then there is Dunkin' Donuts. There are more of them than Starbucks! And they have a Coolatta--icy, coffee-y, moacha-y frozen deliciousness. All this goodness made today more tolerable. Because believe me I wanted more than anything to hop on that plane and make it home to my Bunny and my bed! Which is were I am off to right now.

I made the blog rounds, caught up on everyone, but didn't leave comments. I also sifted through my million emails. So now I am doubly tired, took some Tylenol PM to soothe my tired body and have a date with Mr Sandman. I hope he's cute!

Well it's morning, so I'm wondering if Mr. Sandman was a Floridian in golf shorts?

We held down the fort while you were gone darlin'.

Sounds like a whirlwind trip but a good one. I don't like to be away more than a couple of days for work. After a week long conference, I'm so ready to get back home. Enjoy the weekend and your rest.

I adore Palm Beach, it's one of my favorite places! Did you hit The Breakers? The ex has a place 20 minutes south of there on Ocean Drive, if you guys go back, check with him, it's way nicer than the DoubleTree in PBG. I should know, I did all the work on it! Ha!
