Today I will take enough time to do something good for myself only. I will buy myself a gift or spend worthwhile time doing something pleasant and fulfilling. I have enough time today and I deserve this time for myself. ~Ruth Fishel
Today I am grateful...
- for a safe round trip to Florida
- that Fay didn't really disturb things too much. Where will she go next?
- for a sound sleep in my own bed. There's no place like home!
- to be back to my regular morning schedule of writing, reading and praying. I missed it and my days reflected it.
- to do my regular work at Lambda Center this morning, a party tonight to celebrate Lisa Mac's 29th AA birthday and a meeting tomorrow morning--all the rest of the weekend is my own. Yea for free time!!!
- that Bunny almost turned inside out when I got home last night. There ain't nothing like the love of a good dog!
What is not love is fear. Anger is one of fear's most potent faces. And it does exactly what fear wants it to do. It keeps us from receiving love at exactly the moment when we need it most. ~Marianne Williamson

I love the happy dog dance!
Glad you made it back to Texas safe and sound.
Inside out! How funny. Dogs are the best. I must say I enjoy my girls much more than my horses and that is saying A LOT!
Welcome back.
I thought you'd never get here.
imagining an inside out dog is not a good thing.
Ran into this quote and thought of AOG. (Borrowed MW's quote, posted here, for mine. Enjoy your 'you' day.
"That's why gratefulness practice is not this 'happy go-lucky, everything is nice and be grateful for it, count your blessings' sort of thing. No! It's a very realistic way of dealing with reality, and it has very serious social implications." ~Br. David Steindl-Rast, a practicing Benedictine monk for over half a century - one of the first Vatican-sanctioned delegates to participate in Buddhist-Christian dialogue.
On the farm, we had an 'outside' dog that always wanted to be 'inside'. That not good either, especially when he was really a Hereford STEER. At age 2, I thought he was a doggie! (We had a lot of them, also.)
I missed today by being sick. Sigh..but tomorrow is all mine.
Enjoy yours!
I could tell you were back, a calm returned to air abouts. Mamie used to pee while doing the happy dog dance. I broke her of that right away, TG.
I'm glad you are home all safe, sound, and snuggly.
Getting home is the best part of any trip.
