Now don't get me wrong. I'm for decency -- period. I'm for anything and everything that bodes love and consideration for my fellow man. But when lip service to some mysterious deity permits bestiality on Wednesday and absolution on Sunday -- cash me out. ~Frank Sinatra
This day I am grateful...
- for patience. Yesterday I fiddled a lot with my blog, the template, setting up shop in Wordpress (to which I am still not sure if I will move), trying to install Haloscan, etc. It takes a lot of work sometimes to be patient.
- that I went to Lisa Mac's 20th birthday party. I am not particularly good at party situations. I enjoyed being there and someone came up to me and said they had no idea I was an artist after knowing me for 5 years (they don't really know me, just being around me in meetings) and the birthday girl introduced me to her partner as the artist who did the art in her desktop slide show. I like the idea of being able to create images that people like--maybe give inspiration to.
- that I can take time, several times during the day, to be grateful
- that I have so much love in my life
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13

FYI, don't know what you did, but the latest post does not come up on my blogroll anymore. Can still link with blog name, though.
you know I'm going to be singing that damn song all day don't you???
I've always refered to you as Scott, my friend the artist.
I'm glad you were there because I like being around artists.
I have known you were an artist for a long time. Let's see, about 40 years!
Great party and that WHITe cake was to die for. I was very strong and only had one piece. I wanted a whole damned cake or so, or more.

It was Tres Leches, and one of five Tres Leches made by Everett!
Oh Tres Leches!
I cannot imagine knowing Scott and not knowing he is an artist. That is just silly!
