IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

One sure way to stay focused on the negative is to try to find who is to blame. Once you find that person, then you can spend lots of time trying to make them pay for the suffering they have caused you. Or, you can work Step Three. ~Pocket Sponsor
Today I am grateful...
  • for a full day of work yesterday. It's been slim pickins round heah.
  • that I have never run into real zombies
  • that this morning I will go to Lambda and do the bookkeeping for the week and meet with my sponsor whose natal birthday is today
  • that Saturdays are good for practicing tolerance and non-judgemental-ism
  • that there is an abundance of good looking men in this world
  • that when I've learned to stand on our own two feet, I'm ready to stand next to someone

There should be joy in living the spiritual life. A faith without joy is not entirely genuine. If you are not happier as a result of your faith, there is probably something wrong with it. Faith in God should bring you a deep feeling of happiness and security, no matter what happens on the surface of your life. Each new day is another opportunity to serve God and improve your relationships with other people. This should bring joy. Life should be abundant and outreaching. It should be glowing and outgoing, in ever widening circles. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

I love the reading on the faith/joy deal... If only I could somehow get my wife to subscribe to that theory, she'd be a much happier camper, lol.
