If a person or a situation causes you to feel insecure, you have forgotten who you really are. ~Fr Leo
Today I am grateful...
- that I do not fret that I am slowly losing touch with popular culture
- for the absolutely incredible amount of research material on the Internet, in particular Google images
- for all those that post information on the Internet, for hours and hours and hours
- for brunch, box collecting, a home tour and a tour of my neighborhood with a friend who is looking for a new home
- for the satisfaction of researching for an art piece, the conception period, the composition process, the execution and the joy of having the completed piece to view for a while
Most of us are on a long uphill climb at this moment. It is a climb we are making together, and yet a climb we can't do for each other. I can reach out my hand to you, and you can grasp my hand in return. But my steps are my own, just as you, too, can only take one-step at a time.
We look back at the periods that devastated us so long ago. And now we are here. We have climbed this far. We are stronger, saner, and more secure. Each step makes easier the next step--each step puts us on more solid ground. I may run into some rocks or even a boulder today. I have stepped around them in the past. I will do so again. ~Each Day a New Beginning

Dear Scott,
thank you for your daily inspiration.
Those are some wonderful things to be grateful for!
I seem to have pop culture all around me - its what I study.
Have a wonderful day!
Kindly,
Kathrin
Dear Scott,
I would like to tell you that I'm extremely grateful to realize again that I can "smell" good things... that I have the ability to smell the flowers my sweetheart brings me. I guess you don't know Farsi and can't speak it. However, I would like to draw your attention to the latest post of this weblog:

Yes,as you can see pictures speak louder than words. This young man , a decent low level workman , takes his wife on a motorcycle to a wedding ceremony. On the way he has almost a fatal crash... ( being hit by a minibus in the dark of the night )The kind of care and love he has been given following the accident by his wife has shed light on a new definition of the happiness...
Thank you...I'll join you in not fretting about slowly losing touch with popular culture.
But part of me thinks if I don't know about it...it can't be very popular ;)
You know I hadn't fret before I read this..
"that I do not fret that I am slowly losing touch with popular culture" - I don't want to lose touch of pop culture yet !!!!! wha!

Yep. They were talking about Brittney today and I didn't watch it and didn't know about it. I was too busy making salsa and watching football. Weird.
