IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

08.11.07

By faith and by works we have been able to build upon the lessons of an incredible experience.
Today I am grateful...
  • to have been handed the keys to the kingdom
  • that today starts the study of the traditions with my sponsor
  • that some of R's counts are approaching normal, but his kidneys are not functioning well and may require dialysis
  • that I do not miss smoking
  • that I have been blessed with miracles in my life
We believe there isn't a fellowship on earth which lavishes more devoted care upon its individual members; surely there is none which more jealously guards the individual's right to think, talk and act as he wishes. ~today's quotes from Tradition One, 12&12

gosh, I'm sorry that R is still not as stable as we would like. This is hard "life" stuff, and it's such a gift that you (becuase of recovery) can leave this in God's hands...and not have to go to the hospital and DEMAND answers that they don't have. Or maybe that's just me. OOO great..that you are going to be going thru the traditions...interesting historical stuff.

I am so glad that my sponsor required me to learn the Traditions. That knowledge has come in handy numerous times in my short stint in sobriety.
Enjoy.
