IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving. ~Dale Carnegie
Today I am grateful...
  • that during times of stress, if I concentrate, I can reach a closeness to my Higher Power that is clear and sharp
  • that R is resting more comfortably, but is still baffling the doctors. He is experiencing acidosis (sp?) where his blood is full of toxins and his body was trying to expel them through excessive breathing. They are filling him with bicarbonate of soda solution to make him more alkaline, which depletes potassium, so they are pumping him full of that. It's frustrating. At least he is sleeping most of the time.
  • that the staff of St Lukes is sensitive to life partnerships. They treat J with respect as R's partner. We have come a long way in many ways.
  • that to escape HALT I do not have to wear a halter top
But more than this; even those who hurt, abuse and destroy need to be accepted from within my spiritual self --- because something of their life exists in mine. In this accepting love is the daily healing of my disease. May my acceptance of the tyrant lead to the forgiveness of the self. ~Fr Leo

Glad to hear R is resting. Also very pleased to hear of the respect shown to Jim. It shouldn't be any other way.

Love you

Dear Scott,

Glad R and J are being treated so lovingly. I hope they find out how to better help R very soon.

Please take care of you in all of this ! If you want to talk, I'm here. I will listen. You and Bunny hold each other.

Love and prayers to you three (four).

A former employer sent me on a Dale Carnegie course for business. I hated every single second of it. Very American, very OTT, very loud.

I regret not making more of the opportunity.

Lol.

Sending R some well wishes.

Here in my province of BC,
same sex couples have equal
rights , right across the board.
That includes the same rights in
our hospital wards , respectfully.

I liked what you shared first there on your list Scott W..could you share your secret to that.
I seem to be struggling to connect with my HP today :(

I hate days like this...whah!

OK..good they have identified R's problem. He's in a good place, with excellent care providers.
And yes, one must put on a halter top to escape HALT....sorry you did not know this.
