IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

As I continue to work the Twelve Steps, I move on to the heart of true sobriety: serenity with myself, with others, and with God as I understand Him. ~Daily Reflections
Today I am grateful...
  • for the love and respect I receive from the program of Alcoholics Anonymous
  • for the love and respect I can give back to the program of Alcoholics Anonymous
  • for a call from an old friend yesterday, just to check in
  • that I am slowly learning to be vigilant with my thoughts, to keep them as healthy as possible
  • to strive to keep the connection open so there is a channel for grace to flow freely
  • that my closet doors have stayed open for thirty-six years
  • that Mary Christine surprised me with a telephone call yesterday afternoon
We can't control the past or the future. We need to have a sense of control in our life. In our illness, we were out of control. This was because we wouldn't live from moment to moment. Each moment is filled with as much life as we can handle. Each moment is filled with enough to keep us alive, interested, and growing. ~Keep It Simple
Beauty is not caused. It is. ~Emily Dickinson
