Our ideals resemble the stars, which illuminate the night. No one will ever be able to touch them. But the men who, like the sailors on the ocean, take them for guides, will undoubtedly reach their goal. ~Carl Shurz
Today I am grateful...
  • for the passion and grace that brought Dennis R to thirteen years of sobriety today
  • for the spiritual brother I found in Dennis
  • that Jack V has twenty-four years of sobriety today--I have been graced with receiving his one month chip
  • that today Piglet celebrates sixteen years of continuous sobriety
  • that Peanut has started her art collecting with pieces from Scott W and has started to make some art herself
  • to be guided daily through a life of fine living by a Higher Power and the program of AA
I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker. ~Helen Keller

I am learning to live for and love the little moments, both in my own life but in the world around me. It helps me to stay out of my own head and in my own serenity
