IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Derby Day

Peace comes easily and naturally when you stop fighting against what is. Accept the reality of this moment, let go of the need to need, and experience the peace that is already here. ~Ralph Marston
Today I am grateful...
  • for letting go. When I try to control something, that something takes over my thoughts and actions and does, indeed, control me.
  • for the wonders of a life led in recovery
  • that the Queen today is in Kentucky, my home state
  • that striving for perfection is about as close to perfection as I will get. And is that okay? Hell yes! Perfection is too big a responsibility.
  • to have choices of what to do with the gift of today
. . . it is a peaceful thing to be one succeeding. ~Gertrude Stein

and I am grateful for the reminder that I need to let someone/something go.

Hi Scott...I'm glad none of us are perfect...I like the flaws in people...it makes me feel more "at home" with them. ta ta

I had a morning of measuring myself against others' yardsticks... thanks for the reminder.

I stole others yardstick and they all got Bigger ones. So now I use a 25 ft tape measure. I can measure up on mine at some point, but forget theirs.
