We are always the same age inside. ~Gertrude Stein
Today I am grateful...
- that Saturday I saw The Queen and last night saw The Making of Elizabeth 1 and the first hour of the mini-series Elizabeth 1 both staring the amazing Helen Mirren. We will watch the remaining three hours Tuesday night.
- for the shift of consciousness a good film will afford me, just for a couple of hours afterward
- that I have a dental appointment today (my appt a week ago Friday was canceled by the Dr.) that I am trying not to stress over
- that I have an appointment with an ENT (ears, nose and throat) tomorrow to address my Chronic Otitis Media
- for the opportunity to work yesterday
- to have a spiritual life when I used to have a drunk life
Here are thousands of men and women, worldly indeed. They flatly declare that since they have come to believe in a Power greater than themselves, to take a certain attitude toward that Power, and to do certain simple things, there has been a revolutionary change in their simple way of living and thinking. ~Big Book, pg 50

As always I'm grateful for you.

I like the slogan 'Keep it Simple (stupid)' It is true that if I simplify my life and turn it over, beautiful things happen in my world.
Today I am working on seeing the beauty in the simple things.
Hi there. Good luck with your appt today.
ear infections are so painful ...I hope you find the answer soon.
I wanted to see those movies...
~Reflections for Beginners- thanks for the link.
Good 4 u taking care of your body and walking thru some possible fears. Not sure why it is but the dentist can be a scary place. I am sure there is nothing to worry about.
PS. Seems like there is a blank bullet too.
Let us know what the ENT says. I have had ear probs all my life.
Hey Scott, I really agree with you first statement. I still feel the same age inside...only not so reckless. Let us know what the ENT says....seems like we all have experience with that. Stay out of this rain.
I too am VERY curious about that blank bullet.
Sorry about the chronic otitis media. ouch.
Oh, and good luck at the otolaryngologist.
I hope the ears work out. Do they use ear tubes for adults? Worked wonders for my son.
I hope you're able to get some relief with your ears, nose and throat!
I too enjoy the occasional escape from reality offered by a great movie!
i feel for you on the ear thing. as you know, i've struggled with my damn ears too. i got some plugs finally that seem to be helping keep the water out. my ent guy said swimmers and divers use them? so far, so good.
