IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

A Sunday in Recovery

In recovery, life and everything in it appears open to us. Guided by our spiritual principles, driven by the power given us by the God of our understanding, our horizons are limitless. ~NA Just for Today
Today I am grateful...
  • for the wisdom in the literature of AA. I constantly find things I have read over and over and yet find them for the first time.
  • for yesterday's birthday breakfast with David S, dinner with Daave, Zaane and Maatt and hot chocolate after a great speaker meeting
  • for prednisone, as nasty as it is, for it seems to be knocking out this persistent cough
  • that Bunny's brother was returned to his daddy by the dog nappers. I don't remember if I posted this or not. His dad, Ed, who is unable to walk Barney had let someone else walk him and Barney disappeared. They think it was dog nappers, but don't really know. Anyway, Ed was heartbroken, and now he has Barney back home.
  • that I am loving this chilly weather
The A.A. program is largely one of mental training. ~24 Hours a Day
The more we become willing to depend upon a Higher Power, the more independent we actually are. Therefore dependence, as A.A. practices it, is really a means of gaining true independence of the spirit. ~12 & 12, Step 3
