Perhaps I am a bear, or some hibernating animal underneath, for the instinct to be half asleep all winter is so strong in me. ~Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Today I am grateful...
- that I have been given today and the ability to make of it what I will
- for all you bloggers that assist my Higher Power in keeping me sober a day at a time
- for snail mail holiday cards, maybe next year I will get back in the habit of making them
- for the uproarious laughter from me this morning when after climbing up into the loft to retrieve wrapping paper, and Bunny not realizing there was such a place or that I was up there, flipped out barking and throwing himself up on the back of the sofa. Poor baby, he really was freaked out.
- for the little trick I picked up from some one's blog of forcing a smile for 10-15 seconds, the brain really does follow
- for the subtleties of life and that I can now pay more and more attention to them and let the big, distracting things fall to the side
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~Anne Bradstreet
