IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Every voice was playing its appointed part. Our atheists and agnostics widened our gateway so that all who suffer might pass through, regardless of their belief or lack of belief. ~Bill W

Today I am grateful...

  • for the group conscience that wrote the Big Book
  • for the reading of "How It Works" at the beginning of almost every meeting. It, to me, represents the program. To read it is my favorite service work.
  • for the smiles and laughter over Greek food last night with my oldest friends
  • to be asked for my advice and that I have some to give
  • that today is a lot like all others, and yet totally different

We are only operating a spiritual kindergarten in which people are enabled to get over drinking and find the grace to go on living to better effect. Each man's theology has to be his own quest, his own affair. ~Bill W

Hey Babe. I'm finally starting to read posts again. What a life! Happy to be here though. Glad you are too. L.

I love listening to Joe and Charlie talk about the development of the Big Book. They put a lot of humor into it.

Where do you eat Greek food? Niko Nikos? I loves me a good gyro.

For years I thought it was pronounced JY-RO. I'm cool.

spiritual kindergarten (he said standing there, nap rug in hand, milk money in a baggie, hanging from a belt loop...) when is naptime?? :-) laughter and greek food with old friends... yeah..... that's definitely something to be grateful for for sure!

Niko Niko's has great food but we don't care for the ap-mo-sphere. The other night we went to Mykonos Island (Richmond @ Greenbriar), Rand and I love Yia Yia Mary's (but Jim has thrown fits there so we only go when he is out of town).

And Mattling, you ARE cool.

I love that "spiritual kindergarten" use, never seen or heard that before.
