IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

...enjoy fellowship and cooperation with others, yet always do so as your own person. Don't compromise the immense, unique value of who you are just so you can become lost in the crowd. ~Ralph Marston

Today I am grateful...
  • to have a day of rest from that hateful intricate stair rail painting I have done lately
  • that Wade was a huge help yesterday
  • that I get back to my daily meeting schedule today
  • that my storehouse of meetings keeps me going when I am unable to attend
  • that today I can more honestly portray myself
  • that I had what it took and have what it takes
  • that today's quotes start with ellipses

...our fear also kept us from connecting with our world. We lived like alien beings on our own planet, always alone and getting lonelier by the minute. Today, we need not hide from the reality of our relations with the people, places, and things in our lives. We accept those relationships just as they are, and we own our part in them. We take time every day to ask, "Am I telling the truth about myself?" Each time we do this, we draw that much further away from the alienation that characterizes our addiction, and that much closer to the freedom recovery can bring us. ~NA Just for Today

This explains so much -- I did feel like I was from another planet, I am taking this quote and keeping it, but sharing it -- an awesome quote!

Thanks!
