IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Crickets sing on summer nights because it's their nature to do so. They don't think about whistling or trumpeting or sleeping or changing the world. They've figured out their role on earth, and they do it. ~Today's Gift

Today I am grateful...
  • that I don't have to be anywhere today other than right where I am. It's flooding all over town. The bayous are out of their banks.
  • that after five attempts, Bunny peed under the deck
  • to have some of the most generous friends anyone could ever hope to have
  • that Bill R celebrates one year of sobriety today. Billy is one of the founding members of Lambda Center.
  • to see the world differently today

Part of the joy of friendship is the feeling that we are accepted just the way we are, with no need to change. It is a gift they give us, and one we can give back every day. Ultimately, we choose friends because they make us feel good about ourselves and life. Through tears and difficulties, friends help us find the laughter. When we find those special people who offer us that perfect combination of comfort and stimulus to grow, we are very fortunate. Friends, those wonderful companions that walk with us through life, help us define and refine who we are and who we choose to be every day. ~Today's DailyOm

I am so happy for Bunny!
Wish I'd been there with my camera. He could have been a star on HNT.

Concidering he was underneath the decking, which is only one foot off the ground, you would have to have been quick with the flash to capture that.

LOL dAAve
yay Bunny
are you guys ok? is the flooding effecting you?

Shannon, We live in a fairly high area, some ponding on streets and a few intersections under water, but nothing major. Lots of people in the outlying areas are under water. The main thing is if the rain starts again, and a training effect happens, we could get more than the 10" we have gotten so far.

friends... I liked that reading... taking people just as they are, accepting our friends for who they are... I came away from our visit with that very feeling, friend!

Love the cricket quote. Some of the best things I've learned, I have learned from animals.

Bunny is just not used to being out in the rain. He ran in and out five times before he finally let loose.
