IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

...I trudge the road of happy destiny. May I always remember that the power within me is far greater than any fear before me. May I always have patience, for I am on the right road. ~Alcoholics Anonymous, pg. 60

Today I am grateful...
  • that I can lead a meeting and not stress or freak out. This is huge growth for me.
  • that I can pay attention to the example of others in how to live my life
  • that I could stay up late last night mixing colors
  • that a lot of my demons, although still with me, have shrunk in size
  • for choices and a sober mind with which to make them
  • that I called the electric company after getting an outrageous bill. They re-read the meter and now the new bill reflects an $84 credit.

We should always keep an account of ourselves….We should check how much self-control we have developed, how much equanimity there is in our minds, how much steadfastness we have achieved. ~Swami Muktananda

I read that first quote this morning at 6:05am in Daily Reflections in the parking lot at Lambda whilst waiting for Sonny C. to arrive.

I'm still waiting for the demons to shrink. Oh well, maybe my electric bill will go down first...and that's a plus!
