IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Every recovery from alcoholism began with one sober hour.-unknown

Today I am grateful...
  • for the long conversation with JJ yesterday
  • that today I can have relationships with people I have never met, in the old days I barely had any relationships at all
  • for those who need or want it, the anonymity of the program
  • that as far as I can tell I am making better choices than ever before
  • that I can question some things, accept some things and ignore other things
  • for the peace and quiet in my life
  • that I am willing to share my experience, strength and hope
Life is short, and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are traveling the dark journey with us. Oh, be swift to love, make haste to be kind.--Henri Frederic Amiel

Gratitude should go forward, rather than backward...if you carry the message to still others, you will be making the best possible repayment for the help given to you.-Bill Wilson, letter, 1960

I like the idea that recovery begins with the first 24 hours.
