Today I am grateful...
  • for a full house for last night's speaker meeting despite the extreme mud surrounding Lambda Center from the sewer replacement project
  • that Michelle, in her wheelchair, was rescued from the mud
  • to have heard another's story of wreckage, surrender and discovery
  • for dinner last night with recovering friends at El Paraiso
  • that I will have a breakfast meeting with a sponsee in less than an hour
  • that the pencil cactus I rescued and finally repotted has lots of new growth
  • for memories of summers spent at the house on Kentucky Lake

Neither one of us will forget my bathing suit that "the Chinese family moved out of" or the awful day when that Copperhead bit me and poor Mother was left behind in the confusion. I can only imagine how worried she must have been. You and Mike throwing little frogs into the lake and saying they looked like naked women, or was that Mike and one of his friends. Somehow I can't imagine you saying that! Good memories though, wish we still had that cabin.....but grateful we had it for the time we did.

Being unable to sleep well, I am grateful I woke up this morning not being resentful.

Have a good day, Scott. (I sent you an email.)
