The slicker, the sicker. ~Pocket Sponsor
.
Today I am grateful...
  • for plenty of chances for service work--to be asked and to answer yes
  • that I am getting a little better in restraint of tongue and pen
  • that compared to where I was headed...I got a great deal
  • today two friends arrive from other places and another returns home
  • that I am willing to try to step past my old self image

It was once said that the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped. ~Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey

I think our government fails that test. But, that's just my silly opinion...

I have experience that proves even attempts at appearing slick (never really made it there) can get me way sick.

Blessings and aloha...

Wise words from Mr. Humphrey. I wish that the congressman from SC had used a little restraint of tongue last night.

I happen to think that health care reform involves throwing the most vulnerable citizens out into the street -which is precisely what we are doing in Colorado right now - by the very people who are on the sunday shows talking a good game about compassion. It is disgusting.
