Obedience is not creation, and thus can never produce salvation. Obedience is a response, while creation is pure choice, undictated, unrequired. ~Conversations with God

Today I am grateful...
  • for the Lambda Talent Show fundraiser last night. FUN!
  • for laughter and fellowship over great Italian food while it stormed outside
  • that I am not alone and don't have to do it by myself ever again
  • for the powers of prayer and gratitude

When you learn your lessons, the pain goes away. ~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

You got some rain? I hope.

We got rain last night. Quite a bit for a short time, it was nice and it lowered the temperatures, too. Still drought conditions around here, though.

Aloha From Maui...One of my first early morning web pit stops is your blog where I continue to be uplifted by the daily posts. Much Mahalo, Donna

Eating Italian while it storms outside is a nice experience!

I went out to an Italian restaurant with some AA buddies after a meeting last night. It didn't rain, though. I had a pizza with black olives, feta cheese, and artichoke hearts. What did you have?

We shared a lovely calamari, heavily garlicked and some bread. Then a light, spicy vegetable soup, mixed greens salad and cheese ravioli with creama rosa sauce. Mmmm mmm!

Good Food--and Rain! What a winning combo.

Loved both quotes. The rain was glorious even while it spattered off of my cold bald head.

The Italian restaurant and rain sound like a great combination.
