IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

This is the how and why of it. First of all, we had to quit playing God. It didn't work. ~Big Book, p. 62
.
Today I am grateful...
  • for the text that I make someone smile, which made me smile
  • that today promised to be enough
  • that Pam reminded me this morning of page 62
  • that there is a good chance we may get some rain this weekend
  • for the simple joy of knowing how to type and watching the words appear on screen a letter at a time
  • that I am often easily entertained, see above bullet point

We delude ourselves if we believe that our happiness and well-being will come when we reach a certain goal. Whatever happiness and well-being we obtain must come through the process of living in ordinary, everyday situations. ~Walk In Dry Places

Did you guess who that was in the post below?

I can remember using a word processer in the late 80's. I would type so fast that it couldn't keep up. I would type a paragraph (or whatever I was typing) and sit back and have to wait for it to catch up to me.

Ah yes, gratitude for the simple things in life. But where's the damned rain - That reminded me of the old lady and Where's the Beef.
I think her name was Clara.

Tall Karen, I went to MSU (Murray State Univ) in KY. I like your acronym, though.

MC, we are supposed to have lower temperatures this weekend and tomorrow a 60% chance of rain.
