...the monkey chewed tobacco on the street car line, the line broke, the monkey got choked and they all went to heaven in a little row boat. Clap. Clap. ~Shirley Ellis, The Clapping Song

To compare our lives to other people's lives when we have no idea of what they are here to learn or fulfill doesn't benefit anyone -- especially you. ~Daily Om

Today I am grateful...
- that I love speaker meetings because it reminds me of the complete incomprehensible demoralization I had to reach before I could finally surrender to the program of AA
- for focus to protect my serenity second only to my sobriety
- to see my life as purposeful, not some fluke cipher foating around
- that tomorrow I get to meet with my wonderful sponsor, attend a CA convention and attend art gallery openings
And we can't take any credit for having stopped drinking, because we didn't do it by our own will power. There's no place for pride or boasting. We can only be grateful to God for doing for us what we could never do for ourselves. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

I hope you had a little dance going while singing that little opening line. I think a monkey choking is sad unless it's one of those attack or flying monkeys.
I really like the quotation from 24 Hours A Day.
Have a wonderful three-six-nine day, Scotty.
Have a lovely weekend! ~peace
Yes, let's.
Tomorrow I would like to hear- five little monkeys jumping on the bed..
one fell off & bumped his head..
I would like to hear Pammie speak too. I'm sure that it will be good. Enjoy all that today has to offer.
I love that sentiment: There is no place for pride or boasting. Definitely not especially if you remember Pride comes before the fall. At any time we may find ourselves challenged with our alcoholism. None of us have mastered our disease to the point of pride. (Hugs)Indigo

She walks...she talks...OH! It's Pam, gonna talk, and BELIEVE ME, I'd like to be there also. But maybe ya don't allow monkeys in the "L" house?
