This reminds me of a recurring dream where I was competing to "win" something... always as a helpless toddler in the dream. I always had this dream when I had the flu as a child and was very sick.
The competition was to stand under these concrete people and wait for them to fall.. and move out of the way. It was very ceremonial and ritualistic in the tone of dreams. There was always a buildup of energy. I was way down there and they were way up there. The day of the "falling" would be counting down and my anxiety would build. I woke up and screamed when I could not move away from the falling giants.
