IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Remind yourself often of how fortunate you are. The more you realize and recall your good fortune, the more good and valuable things you can do with it. Your true fortune has little to do with the size of your bank account or your material assets. The greatest fortune you have is life itself, and the opportunity to live each moment with awareness and effectiveness...
.
Today I am grateful...
  • that I snapped in time to figure out how to redeem my UVerse rewards from AT&T. They make those things so complicated because they count on you not doing it right or forgetting to do it all together. I am getting a $100 check and a Visa gift card value of $100.
  • that I am thinking of taking Tuesday off to watch history unfold
  • that I applied for, and got, a life upgrade from the program of Alcoholics Anonymous
  • for Honesty
  • for Openmindedness
  • for Willingness

There is endless fortune in your ability to choose what to do with each moment. There is limitless fortune in your capacity to feel love, awe, compassion, gratitude and pure joy. Spend some time each day thinking about how truly fortunate you are. Let the warm feeling of that magnificent fortune permeate your awareness.

.
Your very existence has such great and irreplaceable value that it's impossible to even imagine the full extent of it. Resolve today to make good use of all that value. The great fortune of your life is here and now. Live it with joy and meaning. ~Ralph Marston

I was reading blogs this morning, and the number of people writing about how unfair life is to them is staggering. But then I got to your ray of light! thanks, scotty

The greatest fortune we have is indeed life! Love the Ralph Marston quote. I'm going to look up more of his writing. The quotes by him you put here, leave me interested. (Hugs)Indigo

Dear Scott,
I really like your opening paragraphs. That is exactly the words I would (if I could articulate) say about my life today.
I am so Blessed.
I, too, am very excited about the Inauguration. History - to the max !

ya know, they required so much personal information on that AA application.
I'm glad I filled it all out.

Life upgrade indeed.

Yes, "a life upgrade, thanks to AA". I watched a lady come into her first AA meeting today and thought how her life will change if she stays. What a program!
