IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

01.05.09

We have these two forces; this insatiable thirst, compulsion, hunger, yearning, call it what you will. We don't know what we're looking for but we're searching. And the other force; the escape. We're running, not knowing what from. - Eddie E.
.
Today I am grateful...
  • that i don't have to go back to school this morning
  • for the really fun dream I had this morning where I was in NYC and recorded a song with Madonna
  • that Alcoholics Anonymous was there for me when I reached the jumping-off place
  • for laughter that lets me forget everything for the moment
  • that 'all this' is God, everything and nothing
As you start the first full work week of the New Year you should do no 'work' at all.

The point of your activities throughout the day is not to make a living, but to make a life; not to 'work' but to create joy. If you are doing what you are doing merely to 'pay the bills,' you will have missed the major reason for All Of Life.

The purpose of life is to know and express Who You Are. If you do other than that during the days and times of your life, you will have not used those days and times in a way that profits your soul. It is soul profit we are after here, not body profit. ~Conversations with God Daily Meditation

Two forces, the first:
"insatiable thirst, compulsion, hunger, yearning..."

But I DO know what I'm looking for. CHAOS. Isn't that insanity for ya?

Second force:
"the escape"

..And I'm escaping from that 'desire' for 'CHAOS'...so what's the next level ABOVE insanity? Hmmmmmm?

Please don't send them to lock me up yet, I still have one more meeting to attend today, maybe that will help! -grin

I LOVE that statement about honoring your soul and aiming to be your true self.

I also love the each day clearer for me leaves me open to these messages

...and I'm a lil jealous of your dream, only cause I want one! :)

I agree with Dave--it seems that everyday is like a school of sorts. I keep learning. But the tests are of a different sort now.
