In the late stages of our drinking, the will to resist has fled. Yet when we admit complete defeat and when we become entirely ready to try A.A. principles, our obsession leaves us and we enter a new dimension--freedom under God as we understand Him. ~letter from Bill W

Today I am grateful...
- to be a day closer to being over my common cold
- that I can have something 'common' and not feel denigrated (LOL!)
- that I was just an ordinary, common drunk
- that we shared a common peril and have found a common solution (p. 17)
- that we are willing to announce our convictions with tact and common sense (p. 77)
- that common sense would thus become uncommon sense (p. 13)
- that we can meet upon the common ground of tolerance, understanding and love (p. 122)
Our personal lives provide us with the material we need to become fully conscious. If we reject our emotions because we think our experiences are not dramatic or important enough, we are missing out on our own humanity. We honor and value the human condition when we fully inhabit our bodies so we can experience and feel life fully. Accepting our emotions and allowing ourselves to feel them connects us to all human beings. ~Daily Om

Hi, Sneezy!
That was an uncommonly thought-provoking post.
Good gratitude list!
Sneezy? How does Bill know you are one of seven?
I see you as anything but common.
Glad you are feeling better.
