Today I am grateful...
- that a friend told me I am eligible for FEMA assistance. I registered and got my ID#. Now I just wait 24 hours and I can stay in a FEMA approved hotel of which there are over 2,000 in Texas. I may not need to use it, but it is available.
- that my problems are small compared to a vast number of people near me and far away
- that I do not have to concern myself with what others think of me. Well, I can, but I don't have to.
- for Lambda Center. It has been a calm place in the middle of many storms.
I was lonely because I kept myself separate from people. I saw them as being different from myself, and so I remained the lonely and isolated victim. Strange how similar we are when we begin to share. When we get beneath culture, class and creed, we discover sensitive human beings trying to make sense of their lives. We need each other. ~Fr Leo

Get a room with double beds, and I'll come to Houston.
At long last I can say that I'm acquainted with someone who FEMA might help!
Hi Scott. I've seen you posting on others' blogs for a long time and I've finally made it to your page.
I like that last paragraph.
