People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success. ~Norman Vincent Peale

This day I am grateful...
- that I can leave the numbers in the title of this post alone. I have the urge to rearrange the numbers.
- that I have learned to live with an attitude of gratitude. It has totally changed my life. It has shown me if I do what I am shown as the next right thing (or the next loving thing, as my sponsor says), maintain a solid spiritual connection, go to meetings and offer help--this will sow the seeds of faith--and that faith grows into a trust that all is well, as it should be, and that I will be cared for.
- that faith + trust = serenity
We should approach freedom by recognizing that we're really seeking release from the bondage of self. This self-concern can be one of the worst tyrannies humans face. As we are released from the bondage of self, we learn that our choices begin to multiply. We make wise decisions instead of being driven to certain actions. We are truly free. ~Walk in Dry Places

p.s. We didn't make it to Itchy Acres.

And I have learned through you and from you how to live MY life with gratitude. It sure does make a difference. :)
I'm grateful that you're not a calendar maker.
thanks for explaining the Day of the Dead.I love the rituals of other cultures. And the picture captures that.
Itchy Acres?
LOVE the painting!
Yeah, Fath+Trust. It seems so easy for me to have faith, and difficult sometimes to trust. But that ingredient--trust--if missing, can immediatelt change Faith...to FEAR!
Faith and trust are the keys to serenity.
