IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Waiting for everything to be perfect before we act, or waiting for what we want to be handed to us, leaves us waiting forever. No one expects us to be perfect, so the best thing we can do for ourselves is to get out there and take action on our dreams. ~Daily Om
Today I am grateful...
  • that I have the money to pay my outrageous electric bill this month
  • for the incredibly powerful episode of 30 Days where Morgan Spurlock spent 30 days on the Navajo Reservation. What we have done to native Americans is unconscionable. Example: A drinking water pipeline runs through the reservation that provides water for Arizona and New Mexico, yet many Navajos do not have running water. It was a beautiful in that it showed their spirituality and sense of community. And the landscapes--the desert and the incredible sky--move me like none other.
  • for my 1989 visit to Monument Valley. I have never had a place affect me so deeply.
  • for my belief in reincarnation and how it has affected my view of life in the human body
You cannot change where you already are. Yet you can have a significant and dramatic effect on where you will soon be. You cannot instantly change your circumstances. You can, however, instantly change the direction in which you're headed. Point yourself firmly and resolutely in the direction of your dreams. For where you choose right now to go, is where you will soon be. ~Ralph Marston

I guess that living in the south means we get outrageous summer bills but the winter ones are fairly kind. Hope that you have a great weekend.

Old song lyrics: "If it takes forever, I will wait for you..." and so I change "you" to "it"...and, well, I don't THINK so!

Gotta go after it. Sad to swing right past those "waiting" souls, but they'll come along, in time. In time.

I am dreading my utility bill for July. It is bound to be a hum-dinger. Whatever a hum-dinger is.
