IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

08.06.08

Refilling with the spirit is something you need every day. For this refilling with the spirit, you need these times of quiet communion, away, alone, without noise, without activity.
Today I am grateful...
  • that our weather event turned into a non-event. Except that a lot of people got a well deserved day off from work.
  • that I took advantage of the day and took Bunny to the SNAP Wellness Clinic for renewal of his heart worm meds and met a young vet that may have given me the answer to his allergies. We were the only clients there. Yea!
  • when I stop fighting things and stop being rigid everything lines up
  • for an inspiring email conversation with two friends yesterday
  • that I truly know some of the loveliest people on this beautiful planet. Like you!
You need this dwelling apart, this shutting yourself away in the very secret place of your being, away alone with your Maker. From these times of communion you come forth with new power. This refilling is the best preparation for effective work. When you are spiritually filled, there is no work too hard for you. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

It's been a long time since I've been called "lovely", and even though you were speaking to a broad audience - I am going to take it as my own and say "Thank you".

Heck...PSHAW! I've never been called lovely in my life, so I know that wasn't me on your mind! Was it? =grin=

Each day I read your lovely Grateful List, and it's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Thanks.

I feel as you do...that some of the loveliest people on the earth are those reading these blogs. I liked the post before this too. I hope to see your artwork for real one of these days.

Thank you. I'm gonna try the "being apart with God" thing. Good words. Glad to see your hurricane damage was minimal.
