Today I am grateful...
- that it looks like DS will be discharged today
- that I have diagnosed, scanned, deleted folder and files, done everything I know to do and this poor baby is just running slower and slower. Looks like she needs to retire.
- that today I have the means and the desire and the ability to stay sober another day
- that Pam may soon develop a penchant for large false eyelashes
- that today came along just in time

Very often the false image I portray is not to impress other people with how great I am but rather trying to convince myself that I am not worthless.
Sometimes I struggle to take off the mask, not knowing who might be there underneath. So full of flaws and so vulnerable -- early sobriety is like 'show & tell' and after 16 months I still run away and hide!

I pretended I was a cat last night, and slept for nearly eleven hours. Now I'm recharged for achievement. I haven't purred yet, though.
