IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Most of us are familiar with the idea of keeping it real and have an intuitive sense about what that means. People who keep it real don’t hide behind a mask to keep themselves safe from their fear of how they might be perceived. They don’t present a false self in order to appear more perfect, more powerful, or more independent. People who keep it real present themselves as they truly are, the good parts and the parts most of us would rather hide, sharing their full selves with the people who are lucky enough to know them. ~Daily Om
Today I am grateful...
  • that it looks like DS will be discharged today
  • that I have diagnosed, scanned, deleted folder and files, done everything I know to do and this poor baby is just running slower and slower. Looks like she needs to retire.
  • that today I have the means and the desire and the ability to stay sober another day
  • that Pam may soon develop a penchant for large false eyelashes
  • that today came along just in time
Rest when you are weary but do not quit. Achievement belongs to those who can go the full distance. If it's important enough to start, it's important enough to finish. Be sure to always take the next step, for it could very well be the one that finally gets you there. ~Ralph Marston

If you're retiring your computer, get a Mac. You'll never look back.

The more life you live, the better you get at being "real"

LOL can't I play with assemblage with out all the trapping of the "artist" stuff?
My inside is bohemian, must my outside be as well?

Very often the false image I portray is not to impress other people with how great I am but rather trying to convince myself that I am not worthless.

Sometimes I struggle to take off the mask, not knowing who might be there underneath. So full of flaws and so vulnerable -- early sobriety is like 'show & tell' and after 16 months I still run away and hide!

I pretended I was a cat last night, and slept for nearly eleven hours. Now I'm recharged for achievement. I haven't purred yet, though.
