Today I am grateful...
- that my mind is open to spiritual concepts
- that yesterday I had a friend celebrate 24 years of sobriety, one attended a funeral of someone killed in their addiction, one attended a funeral of a nephew that had been reduced to diapers and a wheelchair by their addiction, someone let go of their mother, and a sister take her cancer treatments. They all did it without taking a drink of alcohol.
- that my Higher Power gave me what I needed to make it into the rooms of recovery
- for genuine appreciation that today my life is good and better than I would have imagined
Resentment is from the Latin, meaning to 'feel again.' Rather than feeling that again, think of how it could have been worse, then be grateful it isn't.
