How joyful to look upon the Awakened and to keep company with the wise. Follow then the shining ones, the wise, the awakened, the loving, for they know how to work and forbear. But if you cannot find friend or master to go with you, travel on alone ~ like a king who has given away his kingdom, like an elephant in the forest. ~Buddha
Today I am grateful...
- to see a young man come back into the rooms yesterday almost one year to the day he left
- for last night's late dinner. Mmmmm mmmm mmmm chile con queso and chips!
- for the great first step meeting yesterday and the two desire chips that were taken
Be careful what you say you'll never do again. You might be building a wall between you and the good in your life. ~Marianne Williamson

I want some chips and salsa NOW.
The meeting I went to at lunch yesterday pissed me off. It was 12:05 and the Chairperson kept saying...let's just give people a few minutes to get here.
No-we start on time!!
OK, venting.
Enjoy your day mi amigo.
So glad you enjoyed yourself. I did miss our evening chat though.
I went to Tibet about 8 months ago, because I had heard the culture is slowly dying out.I wanted to see the people and how their lives truly revolve around Buddhism before it is gone.I am glad I went and met so many gentle &kind people. Unfortunately it is true about the Chinese disseminating this culture.
Without getting political, the people of Tibet have no chance against the sheer might of the Chinese government.
Sorry to get off track, but your post brought back sad but beautiful memories.

Oh Yeah, chili con queso and chips.
Today I will spell Marianne correctly. Still love her though.
i really like the marianne quote, i forgot how full of zingers her books are.
Great quotations, as usual. I've learned to mistrust words like always and never.
What's an Engrish equivalent of darshan? Was it an appetizer before your late dinner?
Glad you're having a good weekend! Jenn
