Today I am grateful...
- for the lovely birthday I had yesterday. Thanks for all the well wishes.
- that I hope my economic stimulus check didn't end up in the junk mail. It was supposed to have been mailed 6/20. Has anyone received theirs?
- that I will go by Lawndale today and pick up my three paintings I entered in The Big Show. One more time I didn't make it in. Maybe next year, huh.
- that so many things are working in my life I can't see them all
- that I have all day to be the best I can be

You're getting older.
We got our money a while back but we did the direct deposit on our taxes. Beth just got hers last week and she had expected it the week before. Go to one of the wonderful post offices in Houston where all the large pissed off think the world owes them something black women work and get them to help you.

Nice blog btw. I'm a recovering alcoholic as well. I have a very different approach to life than before, not taking things too seriously. Most of my blog is joking around and being silly. But that's me. I like yours a lot. :)

I did not get my check either and it was supposed to be mailed in the middle of June. I didn't get a letter either. Maybe they don't know I exist? Naaah...

Love the Marianne quote. That's one that I don't recognize. I've been a serious disciple of hers and ACIM since the late 1980s. Have been to countless lectures. In fact, I'm ordering he new book on midlife today since I'm about hit 50. Ack!
