IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

This program is not a map of the uncharted territory. It is a guide for survival in the wilderness. It tells us how to orient ourselves when there are no familiar landmarks and how to learn and grow from the experience. The more time we spend in this wilderness, exploring the mystery of living, the more comfortable we become with it and the greater appreciation we have for its unique beauty. ~Touchstones
Today I am grateful...
  • for early morning IMs from friends
  • for even numbered days, though I prefer odd numbered ones
  • for freedom of expression even crazies can't take away
  • that although I woke several times during the night, I was able to return to sleep quickly
  • that I have enough to make today a great day

Without a Higher Power, we grasp at material things for security and inspiration. Since they do not give us the ultimate satisfaction we seek, we are left in despair. We need more than bread, but we do not know how to go about getting it. ~Food for Thought

I like that the program is a guide for survival. It is just as surely that for me as well as my alcoholic. I have to practice these principles in my life.

great to see you preachin the gospel of AA. You & Syd both make it easier for me to understand.
I'm not addicted, but my son is, and the info from AA has been helpful.
Welome to my blog, and I'm a U of T Longhorn. Moved to Houston (Stella
Link) to get that free education.
Do you still have free in state tuition? I liked Texas, but missed the seasons. My ma still lives in
Huntsville. (hang em high).

Ain't it sad that some folks are driven to madness by our peace & serenity. They could be working on getting some of their own.

BTW, have your toenails started painting on your canvases yet?

It's all about orientation; ourselves in relation to the world and fitting ourselves to be of maximum service.

It's amazing that we get the tools to do this given that are so confused and disoriented when we come in.
