Accountability - justice - is, after all, the essence of the 9th step and I did say that I am willing to go to any length for victory over addiction. ~The Last Chance Texaco
Today I am grateful...
- that Mary and I picked up Belle from the vet. She is to be kept as calm as possible for the next month while the heart worm treatment takes effect.
- for creativity when stuck
- for more spontaneity in my life today
- that today I will do my best, that is all I can expect from myself and is all that is expected by my Higher Power
- that maybe I can give back today
Things don't bring true happiness. Instead, they often sap your strength and leave you emptier than you were before. Think about the true cost of a thing before you pursue it-- in time, lifestyle changes, energy, maintenance, and money. Can you really afford the amount of life that the thing will take from you in return for the happiness it brings? Are you willing to pay the price? ~Melody Beattie

Truth, Justice, and the Amurican Way!
I'll do my utmost not to startle Belle. Damned, nasty heartworms. Grrrr.
There are a few things that I like. I just wrote about one--my boat. But she's not like a thing really.
My Jack had heartworms also when I lived in Alvin. My dumb X-husband gave him the wrong meds for one month and that was all it took. He was a sick baby, stayed at the vet's for a week. I remember that I was back here visiting and called the vet's office everyday to make sure he was ok. He recovered but it did take a while. I'm so glad that Mary has taken care of Miss Belle. She is a wonderful lady, please tell her that for me!
That Melody is purty dang smart.
I just love Melodie Beatie hope you are good today! Sounds like it!
