IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Take time for solitude. How else can you contemplate the blessings of recovery. ~Abby Warman
Today I am grateful...
  • for access to such good information
  • for the amazement of seeing the John Alexander Retrospective at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston yesterday
  • that afterwards Carol and I sat in Starbucks and watched all the cute boys
  • that I cannot think of one good reason today to have a drink of alcohol
  • to be blessed with blessings large and small and to see them more and more
An old timer had shared in the meeting about praying for something, and that God had answered her request. Someone asked her, "How do you know it was God who granted your request?" She replied..."I didn't ask anyone else." ~unknown

I like taking time for solitude. If I can keep my head from going too far forward or backward, then I'm fine.

A nice gratitude list. Today, a young friend and I walked out of a noontime meeting and we both said we were grateful that life is anything but dull thanks to our AA meetings.

I don't know how to make hearts and clubs, but I sure like what that person said about asking God for something. How do you make hearts and clubs?
