"As for you my fine friend, you are a victim of disorganized thinking. You are under the unfortunate delusion that simply because you run away from danger, you have no courage. You're confusing courage with wisdom.” ~the Wizard of Oz to the Cowardly Lion
Today I am grateful...
- that I actually survived my drunken years
- that freedom from drinking wasn't enough, there was work that had to be done so I could graduate to not drinking one day at a time
- that there is no real graduation from AA
- that the road less traveled gives me lots of elbow room
- that last night I got furniture moved so I can begin work on the large canvas I stretched for a commission piece
When fear persisted, we knew it for what it was, and we became able to handle it. We began to see each adversity as a God-given opportunity to develop the kind of courage which is born of humility, rather than of bravado. ~Grapevine, January, 1962

I love it. Great image and feeling. Thx. Enjoy the room, but no swaggering!
I love you So.
So
I like the elbow room part, too. I think I'll flail my arms all around today.
Survived the drunken years. Yes you did.
But how about the Bunny years?
I just cringe when someone says I graduated from AA rehab or some such.
Excellent.
I like the pause to thank, then getting into what you love.
Thanks for posting on my blog, easy-writer. I think Sweet P will make it too.
WHAT???
There is no graduation?
I have my speech all prepared, damn I come out looking so sane and smelling like a rose!
Keep us posted on that new really big canvas project!
Can me and Pammie give a speech anyway?
I've been a victim of disorganized thinking for sure.
I left you a note on my blog.
