Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women united against a common, fatal disease. Each one of our lives is linked to every other, much like the survivors on a life raft at sea. If we all work together, we can get safely to shore. ~Daily Reflections
Today I am grateful...
- that some times the solution comes after I just sit back and observe the situation, letting things fall more into place
- that my false sense of superiority has diminished greatly by the program of AA
- that I am not sure what the entire day will bring, but I bet you that by the time I put my head on the pillow tonight I will have been grateful for all that happened
- that I found these little, 4" x 6" oval wooden plaques to paint on
- that today my voice seems a bit stronger, this laryngitis thing is getting old
Ever deepening humility, accompanied by an ever greater willingness to accept and to act upon clear-cut obligations--these are truly our touchstones for all growth in the life of the spirit. They hold up to us the very essence of right being and right doing. It is by them that we are enabled to find and to do God's will. ~Bill W.

my self-importance has diminished since being in the program as well. thanks for your post today. i really enjoy the quotes that you do. much love to you, scotty.
It is indeed a fatal disease. I learned this morning we lost another yesterday who couldn't find his way to surrender in time. Say a prayer for Jordan, and for all those still sick and suffering.
Hi, A big THANK YOU for adding me to your links. Self-importance still pops its little head up every once in awhile, I just keep a bat handy. I sure have a lot of bumps on my head lately.
Every morning I say a prayer for those still suffering and who have difficulties.
the false sense of superiority is such an awful thing to face in recovery. But what a freeing feeling when we "get it", that we "got it".
It Could Happen. God love Judy Tunida. (sp)
It was great to talk with you this morning. Take care of that voice - some of us need to hear it!
Dear Scott,
I am glad you are finding your voice. In more ways than one.
Love you
Have a wonderful weekend Scott!
Hugs and luv ~
