We have these two forces; this insatiable thirst, compulsion, hunger, yearning, call it what you will. We don't know what we're looking for but we're searching. And the other force; the escape. We're running, not knowing what from. ~Eddie E.
Today I am grateful...
- to feel old of soul and young of heart
- that since I started paying more attention four years ago my Higher Power has shared some incredible secrets with me
- that I have this incredible foundation given me by Alcoholics Anonymous
- that I have no craving for alcohol or nicotine
- that I still have some work today to prepare for the show, but it is all hung in place, the list is made and the description cards made
- that i have today and tomorrow to let this cold work its way out of my body
People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering. ~St. Augustine of Hippo

The warmth of your spirit shall overcome the cold of your physical body.
Dear Scott,
your ending was so true.
It's wonderful how new information can make one see what was not seen prior.
have a great day and get well.
Love you
Searching for God, at God's insistence. Running from our (True) self - who is God.
Divine paradox.
Surrender to this force and you become it.
Congratulations... The joy of expressing spirit through art can only be amplified by the knowledge that someone else "gets it".
Sometimes I just shake my head in wonder at how willingly and easily I surrendered myself to alcohol. Yet it took being battered and beaten by this substance before I could willingly and easily surrender myself to God. It reminds me of an expression my Grandma would say about "going around my elbow to get to my thumb."
I'm glad I finally got there, even if I took a fool's route.
How are you going to get rid of your cold? (I need to know because I feel one coming on.)
XXXOOO
