World AIDS Day

Today I will take time to remember
my loved ones that have
left this world from AIDS related causes.
I am grateful for their friendship and love.
I am also grateful to all the researchers and mecidal persons
that have made AIDS more and more manageable.
We still have a long way to go.

I remember my brother Jody who died of AIDS in 1990. My husband and I had the privilege of walking with him on that last leg of his journey. No one else in my family ever saw him again, once he was diagnosed. It was so painful and difficult for him. He was a beautiful person and it was heartbreaking to see him ostrasized and rejected. I pray for all those with HIV and AIDS today and for the folks that surround them, that they will be supportive. I also pray for the research being done to find a cure!!! Peace, Jeanne Leigh

Today I will take a moment of silence, for those who have left us, for those who are still sick and suffering, and for those who are working to help all. Thank you for posting this today.
Blessings & Love,
Kimberly

I've lost so many friends form HIV/AIDS. At least 40, surely more.
WE must remember how to take care of ourselves. Let me not forget.

As one of the many college students in the United States, I look back on my many years as a student and do not recall learning too much about the aids virus however I wish that I had. I do know that it is affecting a huge number of people around the world and I think it is something that is good to make note of and remember loved ones who have past away. I recently met a man who tested positive for HIV seeing the blog hits home with me.

Today a group of five including myself did a case study in a public relations class at the College of Charleston. I happened to be a part of it and I feel as though it went well.

Hi Scott.
Arriving after dec 1st to your blog. That day, I walked 3 hours collecting money for a AIDS Organization here in Berlin. It was hard to confirm how scared still people are about it. I believe that HIV and AIDS prevention has to be rethink. Changing attitudes towards the way and the quality of sex we do have seems to me an affordable option. Medicine has to keep doing research. That is its role, and we all have to support that in our possible way, but i strongly believe that HIV & AIDS prevention for the new generations need to include topics over responsible sex in terms of self respect and love for what is the more divine gift we have: to be alive. Thanks for being there!
