Today is my beautiful sister's birthday. She turns a very young 50! Happy Birthday, So! I love you madly!!!

Obama ahead of Clinton in Iowa polls today? Wow. Of course, it's early, but people have chosen someone with less experience? Seems there really is some change in the air.
I still have the bruise on the inside of my elbow where blood was drawn last Thursday. The hepatologist always have trouble finding my veins. So glad I wasn't an IV drug user.
I woke at 2:00 this morning. After dreaming I was involved in making a large painting with a few others. Were that I had a studio where I could work on something that large. I sat up after a bathroom break for a while so I could fall back asleep. Those times confuse Bunny.
Last night I got to play with R's new kitten, Newman.
Today I take the painting to be used as the image for my show's mailer to Dan so he can photograph it.
I am grateful for all the above today, and much, much more.
I no longer try to escape life through alcoholism. Drinking built up an unreal world for me and I tried to live in it. But in the morning light the real world was back again and facing it was harder than ever, because I had less resources with which to meet it. Each attempt at escape weakened my personality by the very attempt. Everyone knows that alcohol, by relaxing inhibitions, permits a flight from reality. Alcohol deadens the brain cells that preside over our highest faculties and we are off to the unreal world of drunkenness. ~ Twenty-Four Hours A Day

Dear Scott,
Great photos !!! I'm glad that things are proceeding fine on your show. Who knows, you may have that large studio one day. I hope I can contribute on that painting when it happens.

Was painting with others harmonious or contentious?
Newman has a handsome, intelligent face.
oh lordy, I'm waking up every single morning at 2:30. A couple of times, I have just gotten up and started the day, but I pay for it later.
I can't wait for you to get all involved in the your showing, and blog about it.
What a great picture of your sis. What a great sis.
What a nice blog. It's a good read.
What kind of kitty is Newman? He looks wise.
He is a Cornish Rex.
