IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

We find all the identification we need as we learn to understand and speak the language of empathy. To understand this special language, we listen with our hearts. The language of empathy uses few words; it feels more than it speaks. It doesn't preach or lecture - it listens. It can reach out and touch the spirit of another addict without a single spoken word. ~NA Just for Today

Today I am grateful...
  • for last night's dinner and fellowship
  • that I got four chips this weekend!
  • that I haven't seen a pay toilet in years
  • for those who relapse and make it back, so I don't have to do the research myself
  • that I am often repelled by what fascinates the general public
  • for the lives I touch and the lives that touch mt

Enlightenment is understanding that there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, and nobody you have to be except exactly who you’re being right now. ~Conversations with God

Scott, thanks for being at my morning meeting in Virginia. Your birthday inspired others.

Carry one of those chips with you when you go places. You never know...it may give you access to a pay toilet in case you encounter one somewhere.

It's a gray, overcast day here; a nice day for reflection and prayer, and a good day to go nowhere except meetings.

Best wishes to all!

I used to crawl under the door of pay toilets. That sounds pretty unbelievable, doesn't it? But it is true.

I was one of those, who lapsed and made it back again and again...but ive been sober 10-11 years ..and if i can so can others...but it was only through the fellowship and their committment to loving me..I dont know any other way to do it..So for today, I am grateful for your words that remind me...Happy birthday Scott
