IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

11.15.07

What will get you from here to there most quickly is total honesty--being willing to assert, acknowledge and declare exactly how you feel about a thing. Say your truth--kindly, but fully and completely. Live your truth, gently, but totally and consistently. Change your truth easily and quickly when your experience brings you new clarity. ~CwG
Today I am grateful...
  • that R has directed me to ask questions of my surgeon that would never have occured to me
  • for the sensitive writings of Bill H. "I heard a man say that sympathy will kill an alcoholic." When I read that a sob escaped.
  • that my Higher Power has shared secrets with me
  • that I have the choice to be whatever I want to be. Many "what I want to be"s.
  • for lunch with Nagar, a Persian princess
The immediate object of our quest is sobriety--freedom from alcohol and from all its baleful consequences. Without this freedom, we have nothing at all. ~Bill W.

Why are you up so early? Good Morning Scott!

The quotation about total honesty speaks to me today, and I have placed it in my pocket near my heart. Today I need to be reminded of the power of prayer and meditation. As always, Scott, you will be included in my prayers.

Oh good grief, do we all know each others routines so well, that Scott W. being up early causes a stir? hee hee
Jeeeze I even know that your bladder is what usually gets you out of bed.
Have a great Thursday

I hope your pre-op goes well. I still don't believe that you're a lesbian. But I'm grateful that Lambda is a GLBT center.

"I heard a man say that sympathy will kill an alcoholic." Wow. Honesty with compassion could be a life saving approach.

May your visit go well.

Scott,

Thank you for the honesty.

It is a gift to be reminded each and every day to be greatful for those litle gems that make our lives sparkle each day.

Good luck with the pre-op!
