IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Silence does not draw attention to itself. It is the ultimate in letting go and letting be. It is the opposite of the great dramatic event. ~Touchstones
Today I am grateful...
  • for good morning emails from Bill
  • that it is a rare day when an alarm clock wakes me
  • for the comedy of Tina Fey, 30 Rock is brilliantly written
  • for Trish's brilliant lead in yesterday's nooner meeting, to which I was late in arriving but managed to only miss the opening prayer and How It Works
  • that the program does work (I no longer say if you work it. Because if you aren't working it, it is still working for me)
This is what I believe:
That I am I.
That my soul is a dark forest.
That my known self will never be more than a little clearing in the forest.
That gods, strange gods, come forth from the forest into the clearing of my known self, and then go back.
That I must have the courage to let them come and go.
That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but that I will try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and the gods in other men and women.
There is my creed. ~D. H. Lawrence

I came across your blog tonight as I was searching for items on gratitude for my daughter. I couldn't stop reading...wow! You have inspired me to be thankful for many things and want to start writing things down daily. Nicely done and best wishes as you continue with your journey!
