IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

What has happened before has brought you to where you are. Yet the past has no control over where you can go from here. Your past history does not create your future. The choices you make right now are what create the substance of that future. ~Ralph Marston
Today I am grateful...
  • that today I will strive to live in today
  • to have slept well and comfortably under the heaviness of the winter covers for my bed
  • that it is not cold enough to completely turn off the ceiling fan
  • that while my jaws are still very stiff, there is virtually no pain or swelling
  • that today I will curate a few million dollars worth of art in a client's home and the art hanging service will do the labor
  • to be fashioned after my Higher Power with the ability to create
  • to have received this from my sister today: Thankfully my gay brother rescued me from a life of being completely ugly and tasteless.
It's not necessary to join the debating society that seems to prove or deny God's existence. For our purposes, it's only necessary to believe that God exists in our lives.I'll not concern myself with an general question about the existence or nonexistence of God. What's important is to know that my Higher Power is living and working in my sphere of activities. ~Walk in Dry Places

I love that word, curate.

Is curating art like curing a ham? We have a lot of hams in Virginia (think Smithfield). Do you use salt or smoke with art?

I'm so glad your little jawbone is on the mend.

I know that a Higher Power doesn't exist for some people, but I sure am glad that one exists for me now.

There is no way any sister of Scott W.'s could have ever been ugly and/or tasteless!

I have to agree with MC.
I'm so glad you are mending so quickly. I was very worried about you being in pain.

i've always wished for a gay brother for the very same reason as your sister noted :)
