IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

God doesn't need much; whatever we have left is enough. ~Anonymous
Today I am grateful...
  • that I went to bed exhausted last night after taking some Tylenol and slept until 6:30 this morning. I am sore and achy from working all day on granite floors, but we got the decoupage done in the powder room and today is just touch up.
  • that Pam made it home safely and had a great time on her vacation
  • that the fellowship is right outside my door, down the street or on the phone
  • that today is a glorious Sunday
A fool may be open to learning, whereas someone who thinks himself wise will never learn anything- as it says in Proverbs 26:12- 'A fool is better off than someone who considers himself wise'. People with years of sobriety state: ' there has never been a meeting at which I didn't gain something'. People who abandon the program say , 'there was no point in going to meetings. It was the same thing over and over again'. The former are are open to learning, the latter are not. ~Seek Sobriety, Find Serenity

Scott has posted before I did! Yikes, I better get on it.

Somewhere else it says: He who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

ooo I hate to think about you all achy and sore!!! I prefer to imagine you upon layers of silk cloth covering huge mounds of fluffy pillows, eating grapes and such.
I'm glad to be back home...thanks for missing me.
One of the perks of sobriety is that there are people in my life who miss me when I'm away. Before I got sober, people used to actually pray that I would not return.
