IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Our 2nd Tradition says that a loving God speaks through our group conscience. So I have the assurance that if I go to a meeting, willing to listen, there'll probably be a wino in the room who'll hit me right between the eyes with exactly what I need to hear. - Doug D. (from Alkies Speak)
Today I am grateful...
  • for Saturday meetings with my sponsor. It always puts things into perspective.
  • that Dave and I visited a meeting out of the loop. Peanut was there too. So was the Sniffler and the Ice Cruncher.
  • to not pursue what does not serve me well
  • that today I seem to be back in place

Reassured that I am no longer always wrong, I learn to accept myself as I am, with a new sense of the miracles of sobriety and serenity. ~Daily Reflections

Dear Scott,

the "sniffer" reminded me of the commercial where the guy grabs his little brother's cell phone and checks to see who is in his "five."
All the people look like animal names for his little brother's friends. The big brother questions who the "pig" is as he makes sounds like a pig as he laughs at the "other animals" characters in his brother's "five."
the "sniffer reminded me of the big brother last night.

Scott, I'm glad you feel "back in place." Enjoy your day. We're having a beautiful day in Virginia, and I get to have dinner and a movie with an old friend.
